Opal Mae (McCray) Cochran
Apr 27, 2018She was born June 17, 1935, in Clarksburg, WV, the daughter of the late Harold McCray and Bessie Mae (Hayes) McCray.Opal is survived by her daughter, Shirley Cochran, and her companion, Donald Flint Jr. of Clarksburg, WV; three grandchildren, Donald Flint III and his wife, Sabrina, Shon Flint and Justin Lundell; four great-grandchildren, Tikisha Flint, Kaleb Spagnuolo, Olivia “Nikkie” Pratt and Lane Blake; five stepgrandchildren, Faith Cochran, Selena Cavallier, Korey Spagnuolo, Jessie Johnson and Pamela Johnson; three brothers, Harold McCray, and his wife, Dorothy of Flemington, WV, Lyoren McCray, and his wife, Joyce of Vidor, Texas, and Denzil McCray and his wife, Judy of Douglass, Kansas; two sisters, Leona Ferguson, and her husband, Perry of Shinnston, WV, and Shirley Stage of Vidor, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, Opal was preceded in death by her ex-husband, James Edward Cochran Jr., who died on November 7, 2006; a granddaughter, Crystal Lundell; a son-in-law, Donald Lundell, Jr.; and a sister, Janet Wright.Opal retired from United Hospital Center in the laundry department after 29 years. Opal loved her daughter and grandchildren and devoted her time to them all. Opal loved to work in the garden planting her flowers.The Cochran family would like to thank People’s Hospice for the care that they gave to Opal.Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg, on Thursday, April 5, 2018, from 2-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home on Friday, April 6, 2018, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Tom Horne presiding.
